Help help help! - my wife is going to visit her parents during the holiday season and I want to surprise her with a bedroom makeover. I want to completely redo the room: change all the furniture, change the wall color, add recessed lighting etc. please help me find the perfect design for our master bedroom. She trusts my sense of design, so I am free to do whatever I want on this room and she will love it! I want something modern, romantic and glam! - I am posting the pictures of the room so you can have an idea. - please post links so I can see where to find your proposed furniture . Budget for this room is : $6000

6 years agoWhat a sweet gift to your wife! A nice chandelier always makes a big change to the mood of a bedroom. Also, I always think of metal beds as more romantic. Of course, there is lots of ways this project could go. Good luck!

Comments (10)Oh that’s too bad…I was hoping the bed and sofa would fit on the same wall so you could watch tv from bed or sofa. If you don’t mind me asking…is this your bedroom in a family home or in a house you share with housemates? I’m a little confused as to why you want to keep the sofa but scrap the tv? The reason I ask is…if you are going to keep all of the furniture pieces, there’s not much else that can be done as far as furniture layout goes…except flip-flopping the furniture to the opposite wall or have the chest/desk trade places. So figure out the furniture layout you like best and we can help with rug size/placement. Do you want to watch tv from bed or sofa? You have a nice option for bedding, but there’s no blue. The color blocking will put a lot of graphic pattern on the bed. Will art be going on the wall? Do you need any other storage…hooks, towel bars, book shelves? Comments (7)I agree, cool color tones in here with all the warm wood. And some softness and curves. An upholstered headboard is soft. I think mixing woods is no problem if they have something in common as yours do (same era), it's mixing whites, so yes just the one distressed white nightstand. Instead of another nightstand get something light, unexpected and modern like a metal tray or pedestal table. Black will bring out the hardware in the other piece. A black picture frame with art in soothing colors. Paint will go a long way in a makeover. Go for a soft soothing blue/green color, Benjamin Moore "Healing Aloe". 6 years agoI have no idea of her favorite colors but I love this soft mauve bedding and the miiroed pieces. If it was my bedroom I would find art that is softer in colors than what you have and when you hang them much lower on the wall The other bedroom color I love is gray with lots of different textures.

6 years agoUpdate: I am half way on the bedroom makeover- my wife is coming in one week from visiting her parents , when she comes home she will find a brand new bedroom (what a nice surprise ) This is what I get so far , I need help deciding what to put over the bed . Please help me.

6 years agoMy wife was so happy that she screamed very loud when she entered the room and she started crying ! She became speechless and she made me cry! That was so emotional ! I caught her reaction on camera ! That was something ! Nice gift for her birthday/ New Years / !- here is a picture of her seating on the bed looking everywhere !
