This is SO old, but you linked to my blog so I thought I'd answer you. Those aren't electric. they are candle lanterns that I found at Kirkland. :)

Thanks - I hadn't seen those two sites before. I must be dense since I'm not finding bases listed separately, but I suppose I'll just call and find out if they do, seems like they should since they sell the shades separately. - Rob
