Anyone have pics of natural wood entry door on a yellow house?
Comments (3)I don't know if you'd find this to be too much of a hassle, but you could do this... Go here and "paint your place" http://www.behr.com/behrx/workbook/. After you "paint" your exterior, use a program to capture your picture and save it as an image to your computer. Then insert the picture of your exterior that you just made and saved pictures of doors you are interested in using into a program like Word Perfect. Scale the door pictures to fit where your door(s) will go on the picture you just made of your exterior. Then try them out and see which door you feel looks the best on your house. I know the above seems like a way bigger hassle than looking at pictures of yellow homes with natural wood doors but you will be able to make a better decision if you take the time to do what I've written above. Good luck with your door decision....See MoreDoors doors doors! Looking for a contemporary style
Comments (16)I've received several emails asking for information about where I bought my doors, but I can't respond directly because the posters do not have their emails enabled through GardenWeb. Here is additional information: We purchased all of our doors and casings except for our front door through Viking Door in San Jose. It's the company that our general contractor uses, so it was easy to coordinate everything with them. We bought the front door and all windows ourselves from Greenhouses Etc in San Jose - it's a very small shop and their prices are good. Comments (23)Looks like it's going to be very homey! I feel a little bad when I think of the condition our house has been in while our kids were growing up. Now that our daughter is a senior in HS, we're finally getting to the kitchen. When she comes home from college it'll be to a nicer house than she ever lived in. But spending time with them was always the priority, so a lot of good family memories were in the spare, unfinished house! A little OT, but something about your pictures brought up that bittersweet thought....See MoreEntry Door Advice Needed (With Pics!)
Comments (7)Consider Casa Loma Doors on Steeles West. Not as slick an operation, but quality seemed good. (However, no sale was made as my client decided paint was the cheapest reno!) Madawaska Doors are the go-to manufacturer for the commercial lumber yards I dealt with. Perhaps they can connect you with qualified trim carpenters for installation. At the highest end, there's Italdoor in Thornhill....See MoreB Carey
