Garden Glove Recommendation?
Comments (7)You really have to try Atlas garden gloves. I bought my first pair two years ago, and they are the best garden gloves. They are coated with a thin latex on the fingers and palm, but the back of the glove is really thin so air can get through. I have gone through several pairs, I wear the fingertips out weeding, but they are worth buying a couple of pairs a year for the protection they offer. Before I started using them I used latex gloves, but they weren't strong enough. My husband even uses the atlas gloves for working on his hot rod, he says he can feel delicate parts better than other gloves he's tried. Here is a link to their website. The 370 short glove is the one I use. The neatest thing about them is after you wear them one time they take on every crease in your fingers and palm. Then they fit like a second skin. (And I don't work for Atlas in case anyone was wondering! :) I'm just a very satisfied customer. Lori Here is a link that might be useful: Atlas gloves...See MoreOuch! Ouch! Comments (25)Use gloves to use the tools, such as cardboard folded into tongs, newspaper, old carpet, which you then capture the plant, avoiding direct contact and saving the gloves for another day. Once gloves have touched nearly any Opuntia cactus, the glochids have lodged into the gloves and the gloves are now compromised....See MoreOn Gardening Gloves
Comments (11)I love those gloves! Use them every day, at home and at work. And I haven't heard of any difference between the colors (although that doesn't mean there isn't one)... However! There is another glove that I love just as much for different reasons. They're called Foxgloves, and they're patterned after ladies' evening gloves from the 1950's. Cotton/Lycra blend, tapered fingers, more flexible than anything else I've tried. No, they won't keep your hands dry or protect you from thorns, BUT they'll keep dirt from under your nails. And for transplanting tender babies or pulling teeny weeds, they're superb. They're a bit pricey, somewhere near $25.00, but they go in the washer and air dry quickly. Hold up beautifully. Come in all kinds of colors like Fuchsia, Iris, Moss, Compost... even a Tulip Red so you'll never lose them in the garden. You can also get them with little rubbery dots all over the palm for increased traction. I use my green "Tool Grip" gloves for watering, heavy mud-moving, and carrying plastic pots or trays, and the "Foxgloves" for everything else. I keep both pairs on a glove "leash" - one end clips onto a belt loop, the other end onto the gloves. I got that little gem from the A. M. Leonard catalog. Happiness is having toys that work well!...See Morepandigital novel body glove case-fits like a glove
Comments (12)no it does not stand in landscape, only as shown. The padded fabric area that morphs into the stand is sewn on at the bottom so that makes it impossible to adjust that option. I added my review and the pics with the rollover notes on the amazon page for this case since there were no pics there for it. I like the ability to add the notes on the pictures. Body Glove E-Reader Travel Hard Shell Case, Black (9112601) I used it all day yesterday to see how I liked it and honestly I really do like the case, I thought it would make it heavy but it doesn't and for me it makes it easier to hold. With my arthritis in my hands it was at times hard to hold onto the thin slick PDN, this gives me much more to hold onto which really helps when you have trouble grasping in the first place. It does block the SD card slot but it holds the unit in so securely that sliding off one elastic band does not allow the PDN to fall out, the other 3 hold it in. The unique thing I did not mention is that this case actually has 8 elastic bands that you can choose from so that it will fit various ereaders, most only have the 4. Very nice for those that own more than one type of ereader. From the provided info it holds these: Fits the Amazon Kindle 2, Barnes & Noble Nook, and Sony Reader Daily Edition, Touch Edition and PRS-700 and now they can add the PDN to their list. After having been able to test it out, I would absolutely purchase it. Just wish it came in pink LOL...See Moretinam61
