Direct primary care

Have you heard of it?

The heath ins. plans costs my employer has opted to subscribe to has skyrocketed.

We have 2 choices. A PPO for a much higher monthly cost but has co-pays and a huge deductible or CDHP (Consumer driven health plan) or HSA for lower monthly cost but again, a huge deductible that must be met before it pays anything.

My doctor recently left the "normal" practice and has begun a Direct primary Care practice. For a monthly fee, about $70 per month, there would be no co=pays for any office visits and any lab & RX's will be at cost-- gone through her facility.

I'm trying to weigh all my options, here.

Does anyone here have any experience with Direct Primary Care, or something similar?
