Would you consider painting the walls an off-white (it, too, picks up from the bedding)? I just think that painting the walls a very similar color to your duvet might be too much of the same thing. Instead, I would add some accents (accessories) to pick up on the blues/greens. Like, imagine putting some photos in silver frames (for some sparkle) with double matting (one wide white one, on top of one thin blue or green matte). Also, in the long run, the wall color would work with any new bedding.

Also, we've changed some things in our kitchen/breakfast room area so that color is going lighter. Currently it's SW Colonnade, but will be changing to SW Glacial Stream. It's a similar tone, but I want to go lighter. From the kitchen, there's an opening to an area where the garage door is on the left side and the powder room door is on the right side. Here's the Cheerful door to the garage. If you don't like it, please keep your comments to yourself. I like it a lot, but it's a bit brighter than I anticipated. Note to self to always do a sample, not just hold up a swatch. I will not repaint it. It looks good, just personal preference to the brightness. The gray is Colonnade, but changing to a smidge lighter gray.

Instead of painting that wallpaper, re-paper the walls with a plain (white) liner paper, and paint that! It’s made exactly for this and other situations where problem walls need to be prepared quickly and easily (and cheaply!) for redecoration. It comes in different materials, textures and weights/thicknesses (depending on how poorly your substrate is), pasted or non, and it’s also available with embossed designs (angalypta) if you’d like something with a little pizazz. You could even leave it unpainted for the time being so that you can take your time with your design. Usually a rushed decorating decision is a bad decorating decision. ;) Regarding painting: why do you want to do semi-gloss on the walls? It won’t help hide the red if that’s what you’re thinking. That’s the stain blocker’s job, and for that I recommend Zinsser BIN, which is a shellac-based product. I‘d then go over that with a latex primer (no need to use oil) tinted to whatever color I’ve chosen for my finish coat.

@everdebz Thank you, again, The woven wicker does compliment the orange animals in the bedding while leaning more golden brown rather too orange. It is pulled directly from the pallet so I know it will flow simlessless with everything else; I have committed to using the SW Method color pallet. An alternative is BM Rosey Peach (https://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/color-overview/find-your-color/color/2089-20/rosy-peach?color=2089-20) . It is not part of the pallet but blends nicely with it. There is a very small amount of this color in the bedding and I also have a pampas grass bunch that I carry from room to room because I love it and it flows nicely alongside the Method Pallet. It is definately a color I could sprinkle throughout. I need just need confidence, courage and a solid plan....The painters took the day off because I cannot decide :(
