Comments (8)And Betty Corning is quite vigorous, if I remember right. Would be a good one over a shrub. BTW, I picked up a couple little Helios clematis (2.5" pots) from the Friends Sale, planted one under my Euonymus 'Pink Lady' and one under my clove currant. Both "scary" places, as Euonymus roots completely envelope the soil, and where the clove currant is, there is barely enough water to keep it alive, let alone another clematis plant. As is the usual case with clematis planted in already root infested areas, I merely hoped they would the stay alive. But they have been growing! I am very pleased....See More- 6 years ago
