Well, nutz!! I thought this would be the costume reveal!!

Yep, will be attending a large family get-together tomorrow evening but have no idea what is on the menu! With these hosts, it's always a surprise but the primary chef is very talented and has huge creativity so who knows. It's always good and plentiful!!

I am the designated baker in the family so will be bringing a gluten-free addition (a number of family members are sensitive) but probably not with a Halloween theme. Since I do not wish to make a trip to the grocery, it will be with whatever ingredients I have on hand.

Lindac, that won't be until late tomorrow night or on Sunday at some point. But it will be very, very soon :).

gardengal, I hope you have fun and I'm sure whatever you make will be delicious!

Off to the store soon, I hope. I feel my mood improving already :).

We arrive in Negril, Jamaica on Halloween afternoon. If we have room, we'll pack some kind of costumes, but with all the baked goods going into my suitcase, it's doubtful. There will be party at the resort that evening, so we will be celebrating. To everyone - Happy Halloween and remember to floss and get all that sweet stuff out from between your teeth!

I'm going to a block party on my street tomorrow, and this year, they are blocking the street in front of my house. Last year, they started a few houses down, but I guess it has gotten bigger. Fortunately we have room in our driveway for two cars, since it is double wide.

I've decided to make focaccia, but it will not have a Halloween theme. I had thought of making breadsticks that looks like fingers, and I might still do that. I guess I could use almonds for the fingernails, as I have plenty of those in the freezer. I haven't made breadsticks in a long time, however.

I am not celebrating anywhere for Halloween, but I have used the strawberry daiquiri concentrate before in punch along with white grape juice, sparkling water, frozen strawberries and strawberry ice cream or sherbet on the top, plus some simple syrup. Makes a pretty punch if you want pink. For the orange use orange juice concentrate, orange sherbet, maraschino cherries, white grape juice and the simple syrup and the sparkling water or and ginger ale. We have used that recipe for nearly sixty years I guess.

I've already had my Halloween event. The small RV park about ten miles from home had their celebration on the fourteenth. The RV owners decorate their rigs for judging which is the best. They have a pumpkin carving contest and lots of activities for the kids staying there. Trick or Treat is from 6 to 7. I stayed from the fourteenth through the sixteenth. Did decorate, but not to participate in the contest. Darrell and I used to go every year and enjoyed it. Do think on Halloween I'll watch both Little Shop of Horrors and The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Well, the ingredients for my punch are as follows: white cranberry-strawberry juice, blueberry juice, frozen mixed berries (all four-strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, and blackberry-these will be pureed), fresh blackberries (one carton to possibly puree into the punch for a little extra color and flavor, the others might be in the punch bowl as a garnish), blue raspberry lemonade Kool Aid (I reserved a pint), a can of Bacardi Rum Runner concentrate (main flavors are raspberry and banana, along with orange, lemon and lime-yum), and of course, some Triple Sec.

Hey Brad...nice to hear from you again and your Halloween plans. Signs like fun....

Our Halloween will be quite this year. Our grandkids have all outgrown the Trick or Trickers stage. It got here sooner than expected. When grandkids were little our house in town was the meeting place. I made soups that day....cheese ,crackers, deli meats for sandwiches, all ready by 5pm...Served buffet ...come when you can. Three kids and families would get here sooner or later. DD said she loved this get together....DH and I bought lots and lots of candy for Trickers.....We would always have over a hundred at our door...such a fun night it was....This will be our second “quiet” Halloween.....Time brings changes....
