Should my front doors match?

We have an odd enclosed veranda/entry way to our house we're doing renos on and we're choosing the front doors. We're looking at this style of door and wondering whether it would look odd to have both doors the same? And whether it would look odd if they were the same style but painted different colours? The very front door that opens to outside will have a black security door. I was thinking white very front door, and a shade of yellow for the one that links to inside because the entry way is all black, white and greys. Thoughts and suggestions greatly appreciated!!

So actually 3 doors. The black security door, which I assume is iron bars? Then door 1. Then door 2?

What is the purpose of the little enclosed entry? Weather or security?

To answer your question I think it would be repetitive to do so. I think a black frame and white door isn't great I like the storm/security doors to match the trim on house of door itself.

I think the dark walnut would look lovely on the front door especially if you have white trim and light colored walls. But, don't stress overmuch about matching various wood stains. If you have any wood furniture, you're probably going to wind up with a multiplicity of different wood stains in your home anyhow. We certainly have. For example, from where I'm sitting right this minute in my great room I can see... * clear coated mahogany kitchen and great room cabinets * Brazilian Koa (Tigerwood) floors * Mahogany stained double front doors * Pine windows and interior doors and baseboards stained with a customized mixture of stains that comes close but does not exactly match the mahogany stain on the front doors (the stain is slightly lighter and redder) * A very old pine bookcase that my dad built when I was a kid that is stained with Jacobean stain (almost black! - I only remember the stain color name because he let me pick it and I chose the color because Jacob was a family name) * A dark walnut kitchen table * A dark maple grandfather clock * A set of cherry end tables * a clear coated yellow pine sofa table and * a rosewood piano belonging to my nephew (that we're holding onto until he has a place to keep it) And somehow it all looks GREAT together....very very homey. I'm not sure it would look nearly as homey and welcoming if all the various pieces of wood in the house "matched". Don't stress. Your new home is going to be beautiful!

I'm not an old house expert, but I'd be surprised if the outside on many old doors was the same as the inside; they would have made the outside more ornate, so folks could see it. The inside would probably be plainer. At least that's what I'd think.

I think it is a personal decision. I would paint the screen door the same color as the solid door.

I think it's okay for the door to be the same ... or to have no grids ... but not to have different grids. With different grids, I think you'd be creating something that'd make people say, "Something's wrong, but what is it?"

Yes.
Both. I also just like having the separate entry so I didn't want to get rid of it. It has glass all on one side so that's why the door connected to the internal would need to be an external door in case someone breaks in to slow/deter them. That glass also makes it nice to sit in like a sunroom. But the external 2 will be where we actually answer the door and I need a security door because we're in a rough neighbourhood and I'd rather talk to strangers with the security door inbetween

We're on a really tight budget so we were going to get this one but I guess in white now because all our trims are white https://www.bunnings.com.au/bastion-2032-x-813mm-gloss-black-catalina-metric-steel-frame-security-screen-door_p2000271

Any suggestions on what may go with a door that style (the wooden one) that stops it from being repetitive but under $250 per door?

Hello. I do not think that it would look badly if there were two identical doors, I would even make them in one color. In my opinion, it would look quite not bad.

They seem to fit the door style better, and Im not really familiar with Australia. So I suppose it would be okay to use the same door.

Should I go with a white security door since all my window trims are white?

Also, what colour should I paint the two doors?
The walls are going to be a light grey, and trims are all white and this is the floor tile.

Do you honestly need the security door IMO they are never attractive . BTW if you see both doors at the same time they should match.
