help - Bluestar oven door stuck
Comments (4)monkeyk The way to prevent this happening is too oil the hinges on a regular basis say every 3 months. From memory I have never know a door stick that has been oiled, (that's not to say it has never happened.) Should the door get stuck it's a very simple fix....See MoreBluestar Electric French Door Wall Oven
Comments (18)I just got a new BlueStar range top (which I love) and wall oven (30" electric with french doors)... which I would like to love but from the moment you turn it on there is a very noisy blower which stays on (separate from the convection fan: tek support guy says this fan is to cool the cabinet and the electronics) and stays on until the unit is cool (about an hour after use). The oven is in a new construction 3-shipping container project and the kitchen is in one end of a container and the dining room is the other end. The oven can't stay as is and BlueStar tek support doesn't recommend using fire retardant acoustic foam (which is anyhow toxic) even outside of the encasing 1/2" plywood cabinet. Looking for experiences by others and for suggestions for hi-end ovens that do not have noise issues. Any thoughts?...See MoreBlueStar French Door Wall Oven - propane or electric
Comments (1)I have no advice but have heard about the noisy fan as well. Seems it goes on the minute you turn the oven on, until it gets below 200 - I may be looking elsewhere as I don't have gas in my area....See MoreFrench door oven next to french door refrigerator
Comments (9)@jackowskib - thanks for the quick comment and kind words! I am considering shifting the fridge over. I'm waiting to hear just how much space we can stick in between the fridge and the wall to be sure I can open the fridge doors past 90°. The last thing I want is to limit access to the drawers inside. I have the same opinion about the bottom freezers actually. There are 2 models that I've seen that do a better job of capturing most of the space and they include a separate (can be opened w/o opening french doors) refrigeration/custom temp drawer. Those are the reasons I've added them to my consideration list. Also, we're going to have a small freezer in the house so I've got a little additional freezer storage available. That section of cabinet to the right on the counter will either be open or have a bifold door that opens to the right. Apparently those stay-open hinges are quite expensive!...See MoreJerry Jorgenson
