have - curly willow, lace cap hydrangea / want - clematis, others
i am interested in doing a couple of trades.
my plants for trade list and seed list is pretty short these days since most of my seed is in deep storage in california, but i do have some things to trade. my seed list here isnt current, although i do have some of the things on my current gardenweb list.
looking for plants for my mom's garden. she's much more into ornamentals than i am
!
so looking for --
clematis,
blueberries
fruit trees, berries, vines, bushes, rooted cuttings anything fruity
jasmine
lilac
daylily - any except orange common type
also looking for kale seeds of any type, onions, and garlic

^^fresh hosta seeds from those 2 ^^
mix color asiatic lilies (cant tell once they are gone!) - bulb + i did collect some seeds

Comments (36)I had an Endless Summer in NC that bloomed 3X annually. It was about 5X5 sheltered by the house such that it only received morning sun and had no competition from tree roots. The color was garish, sorta turquoise, surely some anomaly due to soil type (I only fed it Rose Tone, every plant in my life gets Rose Tone LOL). I'm going to try a Blushing Bride at this house to get the rebloom without a need for sunglasses. I also had a hedge of five Bluebird lacecaps. They were stunning! The bloom period lasted about a month then the spent blooms persisted and turned interesting shades. " Silver Queen " The Richardsiana has in pass week took a big flop , and so not sure whats up with it , taken it back into house , hope it was just heat stroking from 100 + daze we have been in for pass couple of weeks here in nastyville , so not sure about it. Two other's unknown named ones but pretty just the same and last one I think mite be B. " Sophia Cecile " not sure. I see you have " My Special Angel " have been looking at it in the catalogs . sorry I'm so long winded.... but sure there must be something in your long list that we can work with . P.s. Comments (150)Cool. I can see y'all have been busy. Is anyone else getting that sinking feeling of, "oh no.. what have we done?" (lol) I'm not even home yet and I already feel guilty about what I'm swapping for! I hope it stops raining long enough to care for everything we'll all be hauling back. (hehe) Notes: tn_veggie gardner (Steve) - I'll see about those dwarf pomegranate seeds. I'm not sure if the fruit are quite ready or not (they do have to ripen on the plant), but if they aren't, I'll just wait a bit and run them over to you sometime (It's not as if Percy Priest is miles away or anything). The fruit should be allowed to dry out thoroughly over the winter, and then come spring you can either plant them shallowly in a pot indoors (they need soil temps of around 65 degrees or better to germinate well) or outside later in the ground once the soil is warm. This variety ('Nana') does very well in a pot, so you may just want to do that. The plants are hardy to zone 7, but just to be safe I keep mine in the pot and then put it in the unheated garage near a window. Once a month I make sure it has a bit of water and I guess it goes semi-dormant, but it always leafs right back out once it starts getting more daylight and water again. I've overwintered it for three years successfully this way. Now, I think they could be left in the ground over winter here, as long as you gave it a very sheltered position, such as adjacent to a south-facing wall. I think they'd be like bananas and rosemary then, which aren't really supposed to be hardy here, but are with a bit of care. irisaddict - I'll have to see how many fruit I have out there, but as you can see above, I leave mine out in a pot all summer and then bring it into the garage for a bit of shelter over the winter. New-gardener-123 - I have one of the Shasta daisies for you, some trumpet lily bulbs, and a Korean bellflower. I'd love a chamomile start (if you still have some) and some gourd seeds for next year. :-) Pat - can bring you a bellflower in addition to the sedums already mentioned earlier. :-) Palmetto_gardener (Judy) - I'll give that second aster I have to you for those naked ladies. Here is my wish list: Any blue blooming perennial in this area. Have sun and shade. Any vegetable, am particularly interested in oriental veggies. My Larry is turning vegetarian at age 90, he’ll survive me by tens of years. His aim is to make it to 100. Any lace hydrangea, have some already, and can share shoots or cuttings. Would love some evergreen seedlings, have corkscrew and pussy willows rooted. Would love some clematis, have some I can share. Chinese wisteria, rooted. You can dig something in my garden in exchange. Any holly seedling, have trifoliate hardy orange. Some tomatoes, please I did not start any this year. Larry? I like the bushy type, not vining and not cherry tomatoes, please. I think this is plenty, I also have cuttings of houseplants that I can share, you’ll see. All easy to grow and blooming. Oh, one more thing, any succulents, if you have spares, need to know if hardy or not, I only have the non- hardy variety and actually like them....See MorePat

this what they look like when i pull up the rocks and pavers that i use to hold them down and ground layer.
then i divide them into pots
this is from a bit ago, so now they are in their own pots.then i layered some more =)
and left some to get more developed.

i am interested in a trade of strawberries, thornless bberry for curly willow and hydrangea...
although i have been living in the klamath siskiyou mountains, way way way up north almost to oregon in a very remote part of nor cal....i am currently on the south shore of massachusetts. i have all this heavy family stuff i am dealing with...and my dad's house, who is now gone sadly =(
i just went to message you and found your messaging settings arent enabled...so i can't message.
i wish houzz would just enable this by default, but you have to go into your account settings to be able to receive private messages on this site.
you go to this ---> go to ADVANCED SETTINGS (<<--click here)
and scrolling down to the bottom of the page there is a section called privacy settings...change that drop down box to ALLOW ANYONE TO MESSAGE ME
well here since i can copy and paste this, here's the basic instructions for setting up your profile...
select the option of “ALLOW ANYONE TO MESSAGE ME” under "Who can message me".
click on "UPDATE" when you are done to store your settings.

Look for - Climate Zone for Garden Forums - and fill in your zone.

(much easier to read than a horizontal list with commas between).
