Forgot to shut hose off when watering tree could I have killed it?

Hey guys, I recently planted a ball and burlap conifer. Today I set my sprinkler next to the conifer to water for 30 minutes but I forgot so shut off the water. It was watering the tree for 4 hours before I remembered to shut it off. The drainage is very good but the water always ponds on the top for a short period when I water the tree. I'm really worried that the ponding on the top for 4 hours could have killed roots or worse. Do you think I killed the tree?
