I used to use grape seed oil frequently, especially for frying or sautéing, but I switched to avocado oil, which I like better. It has an even higher smoke point, and both do not add flavor. If you think avocado oil is too expensive, use grape seed oil.
I first starting using avocado oil in Mexico (where it was more common), and I was a bit disappointed that it did not have an avocado flavor. It really has the most neutral flavor of any oil, but grape seed oil is close. Of course if you sauté with olive oil, it loses its flavor as well.
I tend to have somewhat oily skin, and so I do not use it on my skin. If I get a bit sunburned (and I try very hard not to), I use coconut oil. In cooking, I use coconut oil instead of shortening, although it does have a slight coconut flavor - but not so much to bother me. I've used it in flour tortillas, biscuits, and pie dough.
