Kitchen sink size for 30" deep counters

Hi everyone,

I'm blessed to have 30-inch-deep counters in most of my kitchen. I love the extra work space! But it's giving me some headaches now that I'm trying to update the kitchen.

We are about to replace the countertop and sink, but I'm having a terrible time figuring out what to do with the 30-inch back-to-front sink area. The current sink is 22" and drop-in, and it works okay. The space between the back of the sink and the wall is large but not awkward-looking. For this project I'd like to get an undermount sink (NOT apron-front), but the largest internal bowl measurement I've been able to find is about 19". I'm worried about how big the wall-to-sink space will look, especially without the rim of a sink.

I'd love to hear how others have approached this situation! Have you been able to find a larger sink? Did you find a creative use for the extra space? Or does the extra space actually NOT look awkward?

Thanks so much for sharing your advice!

Angie
