Just want to say I look forward to and enjoy the pictures every day.

All these wonderful color pictures, but now a black & white. A naval officer says goodbye to his little boy before leaving to serve in World War II. The boy was my constant companion in early childhood, as our parents were best friends. He couldn't say "Susie," so he called me Doodie. My parents picked it up, and my dad called me Dude most of the time all his life. The little boy grew up to become a successful lawyer with a lovely family. I spoke with him yesterday when I called to see if he wanted any of these pictures. (He did.) We started out life in the same place, but there we were on the phone, he in his Manhattan office and me in my Pennsylvania farmhouse.

Two baby photos from my father's 1919 baby book. He was a twin, born ten minutes after his big brother. He was 6 pounds, 12 ounces and his brother was a half pound heavier. Interestingly, "Junior" (baby #1) grew up to be a big barrel chested man, but only 6'1" tall. My father (baby #2) was always a small baby and grew up to be 6'5" tall, but slender. My father is on the left in the top photo, and on the right in the bottom photo.

What a cool kid, Jodi! He's adorable. Funny how so many children start out with light hair and then get dark. My son had platinum hair like his sisters. The girls stayed blonde, but not him. Jasdip, yes, that's the girl who was in the accident--my only granddaughter (so far!). She looks like Kate Hudson in person, too. :-) Bigbaby has been having fun lately, and it shows. Becca is a sweetheart......can't wait to see pics of your new grandson, Ron!
