Plz help ID gorgeous cane begonia seen at restaurant in Switzerland

Never seen any cane begonia as beautiful as this one. Found at ChemiHutte restaurant in hills above Lake of Thun. Really could use some help in ID. The staff said that the owner had had this 2-3 foot high plant for years and overwintered it inside. Any ID help would be most appreciated!!

Looks like at least two plants there. The one is not a begonia and is showing bloom buds (reminds me of some kind of Solanum - nightshade)

The begonia has leaves like scharfii / scharfiana species or Pastel Princess hybrid. Clearer pictures of the leaves might help some expert ID it.

--I happen to have a photo of a leaf--it is very dark and fuzzy--3 inches tip to petiole

You are right M McDole. This really looks like a scharfiana begonia. Some of the images I just reviewed were almost dead-ringers for the plant. Thanks so much!!!
