Greetings everyone,
I'm sort of new to the topiary forum, so nice to meet you all.
I've also posted this to the shrub and houseplant forum in hopes of a response. I know
Eugenia is not a commonly grown indoor plant, but I am in the Southeastern part
of the U.S. with long summer days. I bought this little guy about 2 years ago
in 3-inch pot, and he has thrived in both East and West windows and is probably
close to about a 6 or 7 inch plant now. Compared to outside, he might be a bit
spindly, I know.
However, I want to address this probably next Spring, as
know it may be too late in the season to prune, as I potted up in June.
What I really would like is to turn this potted plant into a topiary
plant of sorts. Spherical.
But I have no clue how to do it or when to do it, or if it's
something worth risking in a Eugenia that's entirely housebound. Is that a bad
idea? Should I wait?
**By the way, I have no idea why the plant leans
to the right. It was a bit crooked when I purchased it, and I do rotate it. I
have a picture posted below.
