Paint Before & After Exterior

HELP ON Exterior color & door change

Hello, I have the split level house below that I've been working to "update". Color right now is a very pale grey-sage and the door is an awful flat black. I need some exterior color + door color (maybe wood? what shade?) suggestions because it's driving me mad.

I'd love to make this more modern, clean. I was thinking GREY but not too dark with a dark mahogany door. is this too dark, especially with the black roof? Any suggestions on door styles?

Honestly I really like your idea! I'm just not sure about the door color, maybe one of these finishes for the door?

I would make the trim a light gray with the siding a darker gray and then you can do just about any color door you want. Make sure to paint your garage door the same color as the main body color so it recedes. It's not the first thing you want to see.

Yep I'd recommend getting rid of the bow window. Very pleasant house. I like the sage with the brick, but charcoal gray is also and option for your trim.

Not sure what I'm looking at, but would match the "side" to the "front." Porch lights 1/3 the height of the door and a solid glass storm would help.Paint downspouts to blend in, not jump out at us. Since you've pulled out those bushes, do the big one too. They are too close to the foundation. That area could be a nice location for a deeper bed with more interest.

I agree with cpartist about the garage door color, for you example I would change that and possibly add a more colorful door like Verona Home Design suggested. The combo of changes might look great together!

Your house would look great with SW Knock Out Orange on the door. Your idea of stone or shake shingles on bottom of house would look amazing with this painted door. I think your door needs to pop. Your home is very pretty.
