Small Update
Comments (6)I am not a great believer in self control. I say post pictures when things start blooming and then again as new and better blooms open up. I am used to the daylily forum and thats how we do it. Lots and lots and lots of pictures going on there. Same for the roses forum and galleries, lots of pictures going on. Iris should be at least as popular as roses and daylilies so I don't know why this forum is not hopping. I will just be getting into iris this year but next year if I have blooms, I will be posting. I love to see everyones elses pictures. All of yours here are lovely shots and I especially like Celebration Song....See MoreSmall update and other pics

Comments (0)I got my headboard, mattress and one of the quilts I was looking at. I feel like I messed up on the mattress I ordered. It's taller than I thought and if I had realized it, I would have ordered a low profile box spring, so more of the headboard would show. My original thought was, if I liked the bedding once I got it, I would order the bigger blue/white shams (picture below). The headboard wasn't that expensive, so I thought down the line I could look for a tall, antique wood headboard. Would you prefer: #1 - pillows flat on the bed so you can see the headboard #2 - the current pillow shams hiding the heading, but about the same height #3 - the current pillow shams along with the taller blue/white shams that stand above the headboard My next question is do any of you add other bedding under your quilts to give if the luxurious look like in the photo above. If so, what do you use? I think I would only be able to add something extra in the winter, but in the summer I'm stuck with more of the flat look. This was a picture someone posted on the Belk website when they reviewed it...pretty, but very flat looking. I'm pretty sure I'm going to keep this quilt, so I've started looking at shower curtains for the guest bath and these are the 3 I found so far. Previous Post...See MoreSmall update on the book nook
Comments (0)But first, if you haven't seen these before, they'd make a great stocking stuffer. After I did the topic on wanting to add decor items to the shelves, I came down with Covid & did nothing to it until today because of trying to Christmas decorate. Remember how I wanted to use one of my rectangle plant stands? I found something better, thanks to Mr. Lobo who started the habit of urinating on the wood floor right in front of the smoke stand every couple of weeks. I put the stand in the middle of the floor in the back of the LR. He left it alone and still used the same spot, sans smoke stand. While trying to decorate the room today I got a bright idea. I know he won't notice it. The shelves are disorganized because of Christmas decorating messes....See MoreOne Devoted Dame
