Bob, you are probably referring to the small format books put out by Ceramics Monthly - information in these books has been taken from various issues of the magazine over the years. This little series is edited by Barbara Tipton. You can most likely get ordering information by going to the Ceramics Monthly web site Unless they have updated any of them they are easily 10+ years old by now and some information not as relevant or changed - other information is good for ages to come. great to have in ones' library.

For the first time, I have a laundry nook/closet. It has bifold doors to close it. It's in the hallway upstairs. It looks sort of like the before in nhbasket's post with the wire shelf above. I keep my ironing board next to the dryer. I like having the wire shelves to hang up clothing to dry, though I do often use the shower rod in the hall bath or an extra closet in the guest room. It occured to me when we recently had guests stay over ( which hardly ever happens) that I was glad to have the wire rack to hang the stuff not to be dried. Still it's not ideal so I am looking at this thread for inspiration.

In regards to the Rubio, we also used that on our hardwood maple floors (2600 sq ft) in 2015. I did not have any issues with it smell wise, or any after effects. However, it does NOT protect the wood enough and the cleaning & maintenance is just not worth it. Doing further research, I also found that Rubio actually contains "isocyanates", but at a level that does not have to be disclosed. Point being, so much of the "low VOCs", etc., is more marketing hype than about purity. Some of the WORST products for our health are in the cleaning aisle at the grocery store or the cosmetics aisle. But they are not as heavily regulated as the coatings industry. OR worse yet, regulated under the FDA, so they're allowed to keep their ingredients "secret". Example - if I go into someone's home that uses the plug in air fresheners - within minutes, I can barely breathe. I don't think you need to worry about any of Benjamin Moore's higher end products, as they have been lowering the total VOC's as much as possible for some time now. Hi Ja Doe, so sorry I meant to say “grain” of your floors instead of green. My bad. And yes, the quartz stone is really nice or basically any stone that you like. Again, my recommendation is go light on color and not really busy in pattern. Also, you can find these pre-made and pre-cut with any kind of bullnose edge that you’d like. I would suggest the matching backsplash if you like. Also, another money saving tip here, if you do that for the backsplash, then your slab fabricator will be the only one needed for the job. If you do a tile backsplash, you’ll need another trades person in there.
