Comments (2)oldned's comment about a Cooper's Hawk may be spot on. we had a similar visitor to our front yard last month and sent a pic to the www.PeregrinFund.org to identify. They confirmed a Cooper's hawk. Although our visitor had more golden breast feathers, it looked like yours. Tai, from the Peregrin fund, said we were very fortunate to see one so close, and even more so within a residential area. "Cooper" as we have named him, has been seen back numerous times. Very beautiful bird you have there! Keep watching....See MoreID confirmation
Comments (7)Yes. That is a rarer one EA sells. I have never seen it around here. But i did find one last year at a local garden center. I just put it outside on saturday. I got mine in a 6 inch pot and immediately put it in an 8 inch. It grew very nicely last year. Be careful about watering that one. they are easy to rot....See MoreEcheveria ID Confirmation?
Comments (10)The issue with this group of Echeveria is no one knows for certain what is what. They are so closely aligned to one another as you will see in the following pictures. the first picture has been ID'ed by John Tragger, HBG as labeled but I can't guarantee all of the others are correctly named. Flowers are on no help as they ALL have the exact same flower. Truth be know, all of these could be the same plant! Kevin, don't go down the Echeveria road.... you will need a new residence in short order as you know after seeing what I have! This was purchased as Echeveria colorata...See MoreID confirmation
Comments (3)I don't know a Liverwort from a hole in the ground...but if someone said my correct ID was "...definitely not..." and "..lol.." in such a smug manner - and then offered up an ID which was worlds away from correct - I think I would have some curt words for them. Rude and humiliating might be assigned to comments about your height, weight, ethnicity, etc. - but not in responding to incorrect IDs accompanying derisive and dismissive remarks. You go, gardengal......See Moregarrett222
