Another Mixing Metal Question

I am in the middle of a kitchen remodel, and have read so many blogs about mixing metals, but it is so hard to figure out what to do when it's your kitchen. We decided to remodel the kitchen a couple of years after having already replaced our lighting and door knobs that were originally brass to satin nickel. Even though I really like satin nickel, it is beginning to feel like if i use that on my cabinet pulls and pendant lighting over my bar that it's just too much.

My question is whether I can get away with using polished chrome for my pulls and pendant lighting over my bar? My kitchen is white with white/gray counters and gray walls. I have all stainless steel appliances with a SS faucet as well. I feel it needs something to make it pop. All of my lighting is in close proximity of the bar, so that's something to consider as well. My kitchen is relatively small.

This is keeping me awake at night because I need to make a decision fast because my cabinet guy is waiting on me. Any suggestions or help would be great! Thanks!

Chrome blends well with everything, especially silvery metals. It's a little cooler in tone than nickel but barely noticeable. And it's goes very well with stainless. (I have polished stainless grab bars in my guest bath about a foot from the polished chrome faucet and I can't tell the difference.)

Chrome is never a bad choice! (Almost never.)

Boy, can I relate to what you're going through! We're just about finished with our kitchen and I had the same concerns. We ended up using brushed nickle and bronze. Brushed nickle faucets because I like how they look with stainless steel sinks and bronze lighting and handles on the island. The handles on the rest of the kitchen are zinc (which looks a lot like brushed nickle) and copper. I love the way it turned out. Personally, I love polished chrome! I love the way it sparkles! With the colors you're describing I think it would look great. I can say from experience, Stop worrying abut mixing metals. It can make you crazy! Go with what looks good to you!

Looks good to me but stuff is so hard to find I'm usually stuck with thebasic peat/ perlite and whatnot, but finding just straight perlite that isn't in a bag the size of my couch seems to be a big big hunt, unless i buy it online its pretty much non existent! Here is one link with pics; don't know if you've seen it. The first pics have chrome and orb, the last 2 are nickel and orb. Mine is the last one and the fixtures are Moen ShowHouse brushed nickel. I also have Hansgrohe and Grohe brushed nickel (and some off brand tub spout in the shower) and once installed I can't see a whit of difference between them. Remember that adenium seedlings are less like their adult counterparts and more like coleus when very young. Seedlings less than a year old will suffer transplant shock if you move them into gritty mix. When they are this young, they need so much water that in a free-draining mix, you will need to water them almost everyday especially during high summer. Nothing else on my plant bench needs that much water so I couldn't even use the water runoff for other pants, thus adding waste into the equation. I have tried the 5:1:1 mix to see if this will be better but I really don't have the patience to keep up with the amount of water such young seedlings need so I ultimately moved mine back to 50 percent soil and 50 percent perlite. They gain girth faster this way as well. Adult plants, on the other hand, are dramatically easier to care for in gritty mix and 5:1:1. As are most succulents, potted trees and fake plants. Pagan

In our kitchen, we have satin nickel handles on our cabs, SS appliances, sink, faucets, and a shiny chrome ceiling fan, and they all play very nicely together.
