Crazy! You'll get a separate one from the ambulance service and, if it wasn't included in the hospital's bill, one from the radiologist and the anesthesiologist.

I'm currently dealing with the same clear as mud hospital/physical therapy bills!!! SO confusing I want to pull my hair out.

I know what you mean! Bills that I thought were paid with almost identical totals are in reality, seperate charges!

Gosh. Dumb question - but how bad was this fall? Did you just land on it in the right way to cause a lot of damage or did you fall down the stairs!!??

Thank God for workers comp. And don’t feel bad. Workers comp won’t pay but a 1/3 of those bills because of negotiated fees and contracts and you shouldn’t pay a penny.

Also keep the serial number to your titanium rod & screws. Some recently were recalled & they’re only identifiable by the serial number.

Probably not yours since it’s brand new. But my friend had her hip replacements recalled but she refuses to go through that surgery again.

Another good thing about those numbers. This was on the news. A lady was murdered. Her body was beyond recognition. The only way they could identify her body was thru the serial numbers on her breast implants. So you now have an extra level of security!!

That's very bizarre.

Quite a few years back, a fellow at work had surgery and got a bill from the hospital with just the amount. He asked for an itemized bill and the hospital said it wouldn't provide it until he paid the bill in full!!

I'm sure it's only gotten worse since.

But that bill just adds a lot more pain to an already painful situation!! So sorry.

FUNNY! in actuality was NOT an overly dramatic fall? was crossing between buildings with my special needs student... beautiful day, clear blue sky, mid-may. had literally TWO steps to go up to entrance at end of hallway. i'm blaming it on blinding sun, but in reality... just a minor trip that domino-ed. one of those slo-mo falls. hit on knees first which actually probably "helped" prevent more injury?? had tote bag of school stuff slung over right shoulder and my perpetual big insulated cup of ice water in left. landed with left arm across stomach/chest. later told i did NOT wanna watch the video from security cameras!!

luckily, another student saw me fall, didn't even stop but ran straight for help! another staff member was there in no time. no real PAIN to speak of until EMTs were getting me off the concrete and into ambulance... guess that's what shock is, huh? wonder if lights/sirens are included in bill?

so 3.5 months later! PT/OT 3xweek... torture at times, necessary and seeing slow progress/improvement. i'm sure AGE has to factor in with recovery but this is gonna take a LONG time to resolve.
