Water and fertilizer applied with a root feeder typically doesn't move very far beyond the point of insertion. And most roots on most soils are up near the surface, where most of the air is. Comments (7)Would it affect the tree to much to remove the moisture mulch down to the retic level (removing 'some' of the feeders) and then applying a layer of Non absorbing mulch? It's just the raised soil level now is a concern to me mainly coz the retic is well below the feeders. I need to train the feeders back to the retic level essentially.
