First time growing Plumeria (CA)

Brittany R

I bought my first plumeria cutting from Maui last February but didn't plant it until the middle of May. I want to say within three weeks the tip and new little leaves were already starting to grow. I live in the Bay Area so I would leave it outside all day and then at night bring it back in. Every week it would have major growth whether it was the tip which I later found out were blooms or leaves. The middle of July it bloomed and I got some flowers! They were a lot smaller than I thought they would be and they only lasted about a week before they started dying and falling off. I got two more flowers after that that lasted about the same amount of time. Since then I have had a lot more leaves grow and it looks like it's starting to branch out if that makes any sense. Is it usual to only flower that short amount of time? I'm also amazed at how many new leaves are growing. I don't know much from what I researched on the internet so any insight would be really helpful. Thanks!
