One set of doors or two?

I am doing some work to our detached garage. So this will be mostly just me using this space. I have an Airbnb rental apartment above this so will be doing the laundry for that space after every rental. Currently the garage has two closets on a side wall that are both 42" deep by 78" wide. I am going to combine into one closet in the garage area and put a second washer/dryer in there as well as a sink. I will use this as a potting bench for gardening and will also use it for cleaning and refilling my many hummingbird feeders. Then I will make a coat closet that is accessible from the other hallway that leads to the apartment up the stairs. I have the existing bifold doors that I hope to reuse. Each set is about 48" wide. So if I use two sets, it will probably look odd, but I'm thinking about when I'm in there at the sink working, it may feel roomier if I can leave the doors open while working, but it does eat up a lot of wall space. Or should look just use one set centered?

I'd be much happier working with the two doors....but is there any way to lose the center post thingy and make it a really big single opening with multifold doors?

Only you can say if you need the wall space for additional storage. If the wall space by the pickup is adequate, I'd be happy to lose wall space on the closet side! And since you don't have much wall space on closet side currently, you won't lose much. Maybe. :)

I think I'm ok giving up the wall space.

I will look into the door thing. I'm not loving the post in between but I have to have somewhere to attach the hinges.

I think the fabric is really nice. To offer an alternative, I would hate to block the views with sheers. You might consider instead installing a valance box over the doors where you can hide shades or honey comb shades or whatever you choose underneath. This way, during the day, you can get your views and get your privacy at night. The valance can be fabric Or wooden painted to match your trim. You don't have to match the style of window treatment on the 2 windows...you can, but you don't have to...so long as the treatments coordinate. But a valance box would help hide the fact that the doors and windows are not of the same height.

Too many doors in one room, two door entrances

Post 2. Please help me organize my living room. There are too many doors going in and out of it. I have a sectional that is semi U shape that measures 9x7x13 feet. Door #1 opens right into the center of the living. I'm just worried that placing my sectional near that door will make it awkward with the limited space. Our house is located on the corner and both doors have porches. Its hard to choose which one is the main entrance. Also, can I have any space for a small entry way??? please see pics.

Mark, unless your dog is trained in Personal Protection, most snarling barking dogs, even Belgian Shepherds, will back down very quickly once a stranger enters the house when the dog(s) are home alone. There is a trainer in Florida that has several youtube videos that do a good job of showing this. He puts on a padded bite suit and "breaks" into customers homes. Customers who have told him their dogs would rip him apart! 99% of the dogs were quick to back down and want nothing to do with the intruder. My big and vicious sounding/looking dog stays in a crate when we are gone. I rely on my security system with sensors and motion detectors. The last thing I want is someone to hurt or kill my dog ... I would rather they just steal "stuff". Now, if you are home and someone breaks in, there might be a chance that your dog might try to help you out, but I wouldn't rely on that as my only home defense plan.

I recently remodeled and changed the double sinks for one sink plus a nice area where I can sit down for my ablutions. I wanted the increased counter space as well as the increased storage space. I don't spend that much time over a sink anyway so I don't see what the big deal is to have one sink. I especially think it is ridiculous when I see two sinks crammed into a small vanity with a tiny bit of counter space - so big deal you have a dysfunctional bathroom space but you have two sinks. I remodeled for my needs and my aesthetic vision. I am not planning to move and if someone doesn't like it, they can fairly easily just reconnect the plumbing and add the second sink. In terms of mirror treatment, I did a ceiling to counter wall to wall mirror but then put two different mirror treatments above the sink and the "grooming area". The wall to wall mirrors lightens and enlarges my rather small space and the two different mirror treatments differentiate it as well. I also have two Art Deco style sconces above the sink and a version a makeup lighting above the grooming sit down area.
