Can we have a discussion on kitchen cabinets? Painting them what degree of off white or cream in particular. In a west facing, very low natural light kitchen, the wall color is light greige JG-13 Emmie Room, floors medium dark stained concrete in expresso, countertopsare still uncertain, I would say light (although not a solid color, soft cream-light/medium shades of Formica), ceiling is cypress raw boards. Stainless fridge , sink, and stove. All trim will be same color as cabinets. The tiny kitchen is open to dining and living room. There is a dilemma on the shade of creamy white. Do any of my you have an opinion on your favorite cream/white color to suit this described space? Also do you like my other choices?

I struggled with the backsplash decision the most. It's a marble tile called Siberian Pearl from the Tile Shop. It goes very well with the Cambria Quartz IronsBridge countertop. I have a couple of friends who went with the white, and they love them. We have a lot of woodwork in the house and a stone fireplace so we wanted a warmer feel. Lighting also makes big difference.

I used this quartz in my bathrooms and this is similar to what I’m planning to do with my kitchen next. I see you continued the quartz in the backsplash behind the stove. What did you use for the backsplash behind the sink and desk? Also, what have you found to work best for maintaining the quartz? I’m a little afraid of mine given the warnings they gave me about heat damaging it. I’ve also noticed that I need to wipe off water spots. Thank you!

The foyer was another color in the picture. I had forgotten that. It was something like SW Napery I'm guessing. I didn't paint it. I've painted it SW Creamy since then. The point that I wanted to make with the colors was it all depends on the light. Both rooms were painted the same color. But, the rooms face different directions and have different lighting. For a while I was using a lot of Dover White for trim and cabinetry and Napery for the walls, but I moved into a new home where the previous owner had used some Creamy. I liked how it worked with my wood flooring and furnishings. I ended up using Creamy in two more houses, both walls and trim. I wanted a neutral as possible because I have warm furnishings. Only Alabaster has a lighter LRV than Creamy. Nothing in my home has any grey in it. But, I didn't want things to cast yellow. I found both Alabaster and Creamy to be very complimentary with my furnishings and the flooring the room. I ended up painting the exterior of my home Alabaster. In the bright light of day, the Creamy had too much yellow in it for my exterior when it was put side to side with the Alabaster. But, it was perfect inside. Alabaster would have worked, but the Creamy on the interior works really nicely.
