I can second that.............HP has always treated me well, but most techs have including Compaq and Sony. Most are just nice people doing their job the best they can. I think if a person goes to a tech with a chip on their shoulder or mad, they may have a problem. In recent years I have stuck with Hp, I am very comfortable with it. It has never let me down on the rare occasion when I need help.

The netbook is sitting on a hard table. I certainly watch Youtube videos on occasion, but not most of the time. I am usually just on line like right now. When the fan began running louder and began exhausting far more heat, it was doing it continuously, day and night and now it is quiet and cool. I just ran a couple of youtube videos without an increase in heat or fan. I also finally just remembered the name Task Manager to determine activity and see that not much is happening (one percent right now, idle processes 99 percent). Unfortunately we weren't looking at it yesterday when things were running so much warmer.

Odinthor - Just checked out Duc de Bragance since I don't think I've come across this gentleman before. Mmm...very nice. Not a great deal of info on HMF; did eventually find an obscure German site with v.g., detailed photos and what looked like excellent information, but my 'Translate' function wouldn't work on it for some reason. I did manage to glean that it fades to purple/violet and its scent is sweet/spicy and 'strong/strong exuding' - maybe that = wafting - but can vary a lot from am to pm. Is that your experience? I'd also love to know how big he gets for you (H and W) - he looks quite upright in the pix I've seen - and whether he's reasonably disease-free. I'm assuming he's a HP? Do you know if he copes with full (inc pm) sun? And, sorry, yet another Q - does he have some sort of main flush, or is it literally just scattered blooms all year? By the way, for those missing 'Preview' - you probably already know this, but in case anyone doesn't - if you just click 'Submit' you can then edit, like we used to do on Preview, by clicking on the little pencil that appears after you submit, top right; then Submit again when done. I don't know whether the uncorrected version stays on the screen for everyone else, while you're doing it - it would be better if it didn't appear, until we'd got it right. The jiggling thing - I've done some pretty long posts, and not usually had this problem; I wonder if it's because I break it up into paragraphs??...May be nothing to do with it, but just a thought.. To "save as" you right-click on something, then choose "save as" from the pop-out menu, then determine your destination. To "copy and paste" you need to first select something, then you can press Ctrl-C to copy it, then go to your destination and press Ctrl-V to paste it. The Snipping Tool was introduced with Windows Vista. Windows 7, 8, and 10 all have it, too. In Windows 7 (which I use) it's in "Accessories." Once you've activated it, you get a "crosshairs" symbol on your screen that you move around with your cursor. This serves as the "framing" for the area you want to snip. Place the crosshairs at the beginning point, then left-click on your mouse (presuming you are right-handed) and hold the button down as you drag the mouse to expand the area until you have framed what you want to capture. The snipped area will then appear in a window and you can edit it, highlight portions, draw on the area, etc., and you can save the snip, send it to someone, etc.
