Rangecraft has a model called Canterbury that looks like a dead ringer. Their hoods are completely custom order so they don't have one on their website that looks exactly the same, but the hood itself is the same shape and the band on the bottom looks like identical to the one you can have added. It's a beauty!!

odiegirl13, I have been looking and looking. I think without question the Pro Line is the best. There no point in saving a few bucks to get significantly worse performance. So what is out there that is significantly cheaper and almost as good? I think it is the Kobe RA 02. You get almost the same capture area,almost as quiet, 1000 cfm, and baffle filters. It is 430 SS not 304 SS. It is a bit thinner. It is made in Taiwan. But the last complaints I have read about Kobe were from 2002 nothing recently. There are lots of complaints for VAH for example. And they insist no more than 30" above the cooktop while Kobe says the RA-02 can be placed up to 36" above the cooktop. You may not find it as aesthetically pleasing as the Thermador though. At first glimpse i thought cha-ching so moved on, but DH and our contractor both oohed and ahh'd over it so i thought i'd get the scoop. Our GC knows a metal guy and she says he's reasonable.. but ya, compared to a used Honda maybe! thanks guys! will letcha know what i decide - my BS range is my huge splurge, i may cut corners on the fancy hood.
