What's going on?

I brought my aloe plant back to life after a couple months of neglect. Can anyone tell me what's going on with my plant?

If you go to your houzz page and mouseover ''stories & advice", don't click it, just mouseover and a dropdown will have a link to "gardenweb discussions" Click this and you will get a dropdown with a link to "garden forums". Click that link and you will get an index to almost all gardenweb forums. In this index you will find " cacti & succulents". Click on that and ask your aloe question.

You see, houzz made it easy for you.

Cacti and Succulents Forum - GardenWeb - forum is meant for the discussion of cacti & succulents--how to care for them, recommendations for selections, sources for plants, etc.

As implied above, you are in the wrong place! This forum is intended for suggestions on how to improve the website itself, not for plant or home decorating questions. If you read the explanation under the forum title, it will clearly tell you that.

But even if in the wrong place, the answer to your question is simple: your plant is pupping or producing offsets.

What's going on with my holly...and what should I do?

Never do worry about minor blemishes on my Holly. Some more careful person might know what to do. Too my knowledge, each leaf lasts 2 years, so shedding of older, yellowing leaves is typical. Constantly using my blower, on dry days, to get them off the walkway underneath. By Summer all is fine.

It could be that you have dogs that like to pee in roughly the same spot every day. If that is the case you can treat the area to applying table sugar to the area at a rate of 15 pounds per 1,000 square feet. Or, the spots are where water accumulates after irrigation/rain. If that is the case, then you have a fungal disease that will not clear up until next April. When were the last two times you fertilized and what did you use? What is your watering schedule (frequency and for how long)?

I'm thinking people are leaving. I thought over the winter things were slow but expected them to pick up come April. I'm not seeing much more activity even into May. The Rose forum is pretty busy most of the time, despite the site. I'm usually looking at Perennials or Vegetables. I wonder if there is a way to move GARDENWEB somewhere and start over?
