faux brick fireplace for wood stove

I hope this is the right area for this. We are wanting to build a faux brick fire place for our woodstove. We have a two story 2500 square foot home (new construction, built it ourselves :) ) We also have a HUGE fisher stove that we love and actually does good job keeping our home warm. So here is what we want to do; place our woodstove in the center of our home (in our living room) and build a hearthwall behind it all the way up to the 2nd story ceiling, brick up the two sides also, creating a brick alcove, the front will be bricked and faced ala fireplace style. this brick box will have vents into the hall behind it, the bedroom on the left side, and a vent on the right, kitchen side. Lots of vents. we would have a traditional single wall woodstove chimney in this area, now through the second story..... would be a fireboard ceiling (still working on this) and then cover it with traditional floor. We have a triple wall woodstove chimney that would go through this ceiling and up through our cathedral 2nd story and then roof. What is wrong with this idea? What can be improved? Bad idea? Good idea? TY for your thoughts. Edit: Forgot some pretty important info! The alcove/faux fireplace area would be 6 feet wide, 5 feet deep, 9 foot tall. only half the woodstove wood (hahaha) be in the alcove, there would be a min. two foot clearance from the single wall chimney on the back side. There is a four foot hall behind this brick wall.
