Exterior cleaning: front door area: spotty door frame.dirty siding
Comments (6)I just cleaned around my front door last week. I used Dawn mixed with water and a brush, rinse with water, wipe with microfiber cloth. The area around my front door is aluminum siding. I need to clean the entire porch, 2 story decided to wait and tackle that in the spring. I did purchase a special sprayer that fits on the hose for the vinyl siding. I plan to use TSP and oxiclean in it because I can't reach those areas with a brush. I read that you shouldn't power wash the siding. Good luck and let us know what works for you. I would then on the garage door install magnetic faux hinges and windows; this will add detail to the door, like the below house. I know they can be found on Amazon, not sure where else. Comments (8)GC is trying to convince me it is ‘’normal’ for cabinetry built and finished in place as opposed to a factory finish....I think the affected doors need to be sanded and repainted so the problem doesn’t get worse. This has nothing to do about where the cabinetry was built and everything to do with using inferior material. No, sanding & repainting will not give acceptable results. The veneer layer has delaminated. Sanding will burn through the thin & bubbled veneer exposing a rough layer of wood with knots & voids and at cross direction. No way acceptable for repainting. The only fix is door replacement (solid wood frame & MDF panels) & not door replacement with more of the same....See MoreNeed help with exterior window colour and front door/garage door colou
