PPG's Break-Through in Delicate White. It is pricey, but it's worth it. Lightly sand, thoroughly clean and apply two coats.

Hi, just wondering if you have much painting experience? Lori is right Breakthrough is good paint, yes pricey. The problem being is dries very fast and likely if you don't paint for a living it may not turn out well because it will be drying on you faster than you are able to complete it. With any paint there is a learning curve, as is there for painting and finishing things to give you the best results in both appearance and durability. Many journeyman painters could write you a long script on the product and process to do this and give you nice results but that does not necessarily mean it will turn as wanted. My processes on finishing things depend on many factors often like: surface temperature, air temperature, product being used.

What style of door? 6 panel? flat? The less panels the quicker it is to do, the easier to get better looking results. I would maybe try doing the door in BM Advance, or another paint stores waterborne hybrids.

You will want to use a roller to get the paint on fast because dipping with a brush takes too long with todays paints. You can either roll the paint on and leave it, or brush the paint out, depending on your preference. I use 4" Wooster Pro-dooz sleeves that can fit inside the recessed areas of the panels.

I have not used PPG's paint, but I do like BM Advance. I assume the door already has a finish on it and is not bare metal—although the process is basically the same either way. Sand the door with 220 grit sandpaper, wipe off the dust , and give it 2 coats of a good primer. I like INSLX-STIX. Sand the primer lightly to remove dust and rough spots and apply 2 coats of paint. I use a narrow very thin roller and then brush that out with a delicate touch. Your door should look very nice for quite a while.
