Weird bumps on Hoya obscura

Hi,
first I would like to say that I'm quite a beginner. I had a huge Hoya Carnosa for 10+ years and I love it, I started looking for other Hoyas about 3 years ago. I got a Hoya obscura last year and this summer it finally started to grow like crazy.
Yesterday I noticed some bumps on the top surface of some new leaves, almost like spikes. Have you seen such a thing, is it some natural reaction to light, or the recent heatwave we had, or is it some infection?
I also have a young Rhipsalidopsis near the Hoya which had some weird things going on but I don't have much experience with that plant either.
Many thanks
