We are doing master bath remodel and previous owners had vinyl plank flooring laid over the concrete foundation-- the people who did the work said that if the baseboard is high enough (ours is about 3" of wood--not tile.. they said the vinyl plank was run to the baseboards and cut to fit then silicone caulk was used along that joint... So far have noticed no issues anyplace in house this was done--not just in bathroom... we are taking out all LVT in master suite and replacing it with 1 type of flooring for unified look after master bath is redone--since we can't get the type of flooring in there now--not made anymore-- they won't need to add a quarter round on top of the LVT... so as long as you are happy with how the LVT would look butting up to the ceramic tile baseboard--maybe you can do the same... IS the ceramic baseboard in good shape? Still tight?

Yes, I am extremely displeased and will never call him again. That is for sure! Back to original question -- you say not possible. My only choice is to spend a few more thousands to correct the first blunder and watch the installer like a hawk. You really have to be vigilant and watchful. Sigh. I’m actually about to do this in my small ranch home (every room the same lvp). I hadn’t even thought that it would be weird to put it in the bathroom. My thinking is that since our house is small and you can see every room when you stand in the middle, it would make the house feel larger and more cohesive if the same flooring flowed throughout. Right now I can actually see 4 different types of flooring when I stand in the middle of my house. So I’m really looking forward to having it all be the same. By the way, I really like your lvp in the picture. It looks like it’s light/neutral and could work anywhere.

The travertine I looked at looks like a gold or yellow tone. I continued searching for vinyl tiles, and I am now overwhelmed. The ONLY flooring place near us (1/2 hr away) was the one who suggested Coretec Pro Plus. She picked the colors with my oak wood. Originally she picked a medium dark brown vinyl plank. I thought that vinyl planks next to real wood planks (a cabinet) was a huge no-no. Maybe it was for a vinyl wood floor next to a real floor that was a no-no. The medium oak color is going to have to stay since he installed it today. He had already stained and finished it. Reading hundreds of Houzz posts about vinyl tiles/planks has not helped. Footprints, cloudy floors, scratches...oh my! Some people hate vinyl and others love it. They even have the exact same brand. I found one post with over 2200 responses. I will read it tomorrow. I can't find any color that I like except for the wood looking planks, but I think the tile looking vinyl would look better. I am out of time. I paid for the baseboard trim to be installed, but now we will have to install it ourselves. The contractor is almost finished so I will have to pay him with the trim uninstalled. Not his fault I couldn't find what I wanted. I just don't know what to choose. He told me ceramic tile was out which was what I wanted originally. I discovered Supercore today, so more research is needed. I am so sick of remodeling.
