When DH tells me he loves me as he does most mornings. Corny... but it starts my day with a smile.. and of course I reply I love you too right back.

When we get to hike with the dogs for long time. We've been too busy lately to go hiking. We're just doing their regular walks. :(

I got a compliment the other day at the restaurant. It was hot out so decided to wear a black/white polka dot dress with some cute new wedge Sandels . There was two men sitting at the next table about 4 ft. Away and the one reached over and touched my arm and said he wanted to compliment me in my dress! I thanked him and made me smile the rest of the day! Hadn't worn the dress in a couple of years & decided to wear it that day.

My sister, who is visiting, made a delicious dinner for us yesterday. Thai coconut rice, halibut poached in white wine with ginger and green onion, and carrots. Yummy!

We went out to run errands yesterday and I FINALLY remembered to buy a new ironing board cover. The old one was so stretched out that it would no longer stay on the ironing board which annoyed me every time I ironed clothing. Can't wait for the next ironing day!

Today I stopped at CVS to get DH Dr Scholl's orthotics. I had a $6.00 coupon that was loaded to my card.

Well, I not only got the coupon but an additional 10 percent, so total almost $10 off this expensive item!!!!

Meeting KT friends in person!

In the dead of winter, when it's very cold, I love it when thoughtful friends, who have car seat warmers, have my seat warmed up when they pick me up. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy in more ways than one.

re: workmen showing up when suppose to - my barn door guy showed up just now, suppose to be here tomorrow. lol, I can never win but better be grateful he showed up at all.

Well, today it was reading about a young mom and her two daughters who had gone to our local movie theater and when she got there, she realized she left her wallet at home. The younger girl was upset even though her mom told her they would come back to see a later show. The man behind her bought tickets for the four of them. Mom wanted to send him a check but he refused saying he didn't like seeing the younger one so upset. The mom promised to pay it forward. It just brought a smile to me.

Our kittens getting their last shots for the year, and being told how healthy and cute they are, made for a happy day for me.

I had a beautiful relaxing day on the boat. Perfect weather and water. If I could "Put time in a bottle" this is the day I would save.

When I think something's too hard or I'll never get my chores done and yet, I do!

My new sleeps 2 sleeping bag arrived yesterday!

My good thing this week was a surprise visit from a niece and her husband. They called Wednesday evening to say they would be traveling nearby the next day on their way home to another state. I was delighted to have them drop by for an all afternoon visit that turned into dinner out too. We so enjoyed their company even though I was in the midst of preparing for out of state company that would be arriving Friday morning.

Kittens never fail to brighten up my day. Here are some cuties that were adopted at the Human Society this week.

When hubby takes the kids for an outing on a Saturday, so I can have some time for myself. Curling up with a good book after the kids are asleep and the chores are done.

Summer, I'm so glad that those kittens were adopted. The one at the bottom looks like a black smoke, like our little Milo. Kittens/cats always make me happy too, as do puppies and dogs. Do you work for the Humane Society?

I went to buy bagged mulch and found out it was on sale, plus I had a coupon. I ended up spending half what I thought it would be. Woohoo!

I had another thought. When we were out running the above mentioned errands, it was so hot that I decided to wear a summer dress that I've had for years. It's old, but it's cute and looks like new so I've never considered getting rid of it. I was picking out onions in the produce department when two teen girls came over and told me they liked my dress. I thanked them and said something about dresses being so much cooler when the weather is hot which led to a nice conversation with the two young ladies.

When we parted ways, I couldn't help but have a big smile on my face which led to some of the other shoppers smiling back. Nice!

Someone, a fairly new acquaintance, told me recently that my skin looked great and that my figure looked good and that I looked like a teenager! Well, i kinda disagree with that extreme, being almost 69, but I still greatly appreciated the compliment.
