Comments (20)weather.com shows 2.68 inches at Midlothian airport, but my gauge shows 4". It's nearly all gone from my yard now, just the low spot in my driveway has a puddle. We took the gutters down to paint and the water ran down the valley by the front porch and filled the flower beds instantly. We got a LOT of rain. I was afraid to do laundry yesterday in case the septic lines couldn't get rid of the water but today I did a load with no problem. I had noticed some big cracks in the yard Wednesday and they are all gone today. I hope the next deluge hits the rest of you and we just get a nice little shower....See MoreI have a tile challenge for you to solve - can you??
Comments (3)My suggestion would be to put the tiles on a backerboard per David's comments and then frame that. There are hardware fittings that are used primarily for glass or lucite panels - 'standoffs' we call them but I am not sure what the correct term for them is - I am pretty sure that Outwater has them if you can't get them locally. Anyway - if you dimension your frame correctly then you should be able to drill a hole in each corner of it and into the grout of the backsplash. Screw your standoffs into the backsplash and then attach your framed tile art and you're off to the races ! If you want to take it down later it's very easy to patch four small holes in the grout invisibly. Comments (21)I beg to differ PK. If one didn't have a current/active email address on file with HGTV Garden Web-Kitchen Table...no pre-registration took place. I had tried numerous times over the last few years to update my personal info page and submit a new email address. The old one had been closed/nonfunctional for some time. Despite my attempts...the new information never "took" and I finally gave up in exasperation. As I never volunteered for email comments...and I've never been a 24/7 regular member...I had no reason to worry about the lack of success I'd had. Until...lo and behold...Houzz actually arrived on the screen. I had to actively register with Houzz directly to gain access to all Garden Web sites. For those of you who had viable email addresses on file with Garden Web...pre-registration was, truly, successful. Anne...See Morerob333 (zone 7b)
