Mix Leather and Fabric Sofas?
Comments (2)That is a very good decorating idea. It is very boring to see all leather as they are all solid colors so they don't do anything for each other and all leather can appear colder. Adding some fabric pieces allows colors and patterns and more warmth to the look. The only thing to watch out for with mixing fabrics, is that the whole look doesn't get too busy looking. Personally, I'd go with the same fabric (maybe one with a pattern and one solid, but the same fabric) for the chairs with leather. But that's just my opinion....See MoreMixing Leather Colors, can I do this?
Comments (5)Wow, that's lovely. Not sure I'll be much help on the sofa, but in my previous home I had cream color chairs in the breakfast area and a white sofa in the FR....maybe 15' away. I never saw it as a problem since each area stood on its own with the help of rugs & decor. Regarding the tile: maybe I missed the answer, but where are the cuts on that tile!?...See MoreLeather furniture with fabric cushions?
Comments (9)I redid my leather cushions in fabric. I took one cushion to the fabric store, found a fabric in chenille, identical color to leather, but has a sheen (different texture) and it looks much, much better. About cushions being damaged and replacing with fabric, is that not the charm of antiques for some? At any rate, it is much cheaper to replace the cushions in fabric than to buy a whole other sofa and the price for covering the cushions is minimal comparatively and therefore, can be changed on a whim almost....See MoreThoughts on Leather Chateu D'Ax Furniture and Cream Colored Leather
Comments (4)There are so many jeans that seem to be saturated with dye, especially the indigo blue ones. I can understand your concern. I do have a pair of light colored leather club chairs, which are heavily used. I clean them with a good leather cleaner a couple times a year, and they still look great. I haven't experienced the dye issue, but maybe anyone with the oversaturated jeans haven't sat in those chairs. My3dogs, what a great resource! I bookmarked it for future reference....See Morecpartist
