spray the table or spray the cloth
Comments (3)Maybe they never thought about it; just handed the spray and a cloth and told whoever to "go clean the table." Spray the cloth as opposed to spray the surface was likely never specified. This may be a case similar to TP--whether the roll goes end out or end to the wall is up to the individual. If it's a place that you deal with as being a repeat customer, I think it would be worth a letter to the management explaining that you really like their food, service, etc. but you are allergic to the cleaner they use, so could they use XXX which also meet the health regs but doesn't have the allergen [you'd have to find out which cleaners do meet the regs while being suitable]. However, if it is a particular person standing near you and spraying stuff into the air in your direction, then I think you have a situation for the manager, explaining that most cleaners contain substances harmful to the eyes and so-and-so sprayed the cleaner into the air and at you. Explain [if it's true] that you were not harmed this time, but you really think he ought to explain to the staff how to use cleaners properly so that no one gets injured....See MoreWhen to water after spraying daconil? to use liquid fish fert?
Comments (2)We have some rain on the way...so it looks like my plants will get water anway. I wonder if I reapply Daconil when the rain stops? I want to make sure there I treat them correctly. I hope the fish fertlizer I watered in yesterday absorbed. I also see some yellowing that looks like herbacide drift. I have been reading and think one plant has it at the top. (not pictured above though) I keep reading other people's postings and learning more! Thanks Tomato people! Karen...See MoreGetting Wine Stain out of table cloths
Comments (8)I know this is an old post, but I thought I'd throw this out here anyway. I recently used 100% cotton, white cloth and napkins and by the end of the meal they were covered in spots (I'm a very sloppy eater!) The stains included quite a bit of red wine. The laundry didn't get done for several days and I thought that they were all "goners". Not so. I sprayed them all with "Spot Shot" and EVERY SINGLE STAIN CAME OUT. I just washed them on a regular cycle with a regular amount of laundry detergent. Incidentally, when we had our carpet cleaned recently the cleaning company couldn't get out some black grease spots from the ladder used during painting. I just said "no problem" and cleaned them all up in a jiffy with Spot Shot. It's billed, I think, as a carpet cleaner but we use it for almost everything around the house. I have no idea what is in it so if I were using very fine linens I would find out a little more about it -effects from long term use on certain materials, etc. but for cotton linens, spotting our clothes, etc. we consider it indispensible. We've found it at various grocery stores but usually buy it in quantities at Sams Club. Here's to more linen-requiring occasions! Comments (7)Two things come to mind. She may be overloading the washer...just because it fits doesn’t mean it all belongs in one load. I’ve seen my kids do that for years (now in 30’s). The other is that she may need to add something to help. When my son who sweats A LOT played football you can imagine what his clothes were like everyday after practice. I used to add an Arm and Hammer product (like baking soda or borax?) to the laundry with his things. I didn’t have a front loader then, but it worked....See Moreenduring
