Nicole I love your picture of the cormorants! It reminds me of the British show 'Springwatch' where different birds nests are featured and tracked as the eggs hatch and the little ones eat & fledge (hopefully)... a great show!

We've got Peregrine falcons that build a nest every year on top of our local tv station antennae. The station gives regular updates on the parents, eggs and hatchlings.

There are two other nests locally, both on top of these huge poles. This one was beside a busy road, and I couldn't get close enough to it for a great picture. It's the first time I ever took a pic with my phone.

Nature is stunning.

They are part of the bracket that keeps the casement windows from opening too far.

Agree, Casey, that is Horse Guards on Whitehall, just down from Trafalgar Square. In fact you can see Nelson's Column on the far right.

Thank you, Casey. We did a double decker bus tour and with the passage of time I can't remember all of what we saw on the tour. And, of course, I didn't write it down when it was fresh in my memory!
