Hubby adores lima beans. They aren't my favorite, but I'm happy to eat them now and then. I grew them in my garden one year and we had fresh lima beans. Very easy to grow and very tasty too!

And, yes. I've always found them in the frozen food section. Maybe there was a run on lima beans??

Have you thought to use dried? I make them in the crock pot and freeze portions for later.

Ask your grocer to stock them. There is no shortage of frozen limas in my grocery stores, ever. I love them.

I think the OP was missing the lima beans in the packages of froz. mix veggies. I only buy the bags of froz. mix veg for soup, and it's been awhile so haven't noticed. Of course you could always buy the froz. limas as mentioned above and add them into your mix. veggies. Not the same, tho huh?

I wondered if limas had suddenly gotten more expensive -- or the Lima Bean Haters Society had triumphed at last.

We used to like the rather bland "Windmill" and "Cranberry-Flax" cookies from Voortman Bakery. They were fine in 2016. When we came home from Hawaii in March, both varieties had changed. They are loaded with sugar and have less 'substance', so I guess less flour. Sugar's cheap.

I think here we can only get the little frozen bags of lima beans. My sister loved them. I can't eat them because of the texture or any other type bean like it because of the texture unless they are ground up like up to make hummas. Funny though I can eat kidney beans in chili. Growing up lima beans always came in a tin

I just used a bag of frozen mixed veges tonight, and yes, there were lima beans included in the mix. It was the store brand.

Idstarr -- That's encouraging. I'll keep looking. I'm not fond of frozen green beans!

Our frozen mixed veggies have corn, g. beans, limas, and carrots. No matter what the brand is.

I buy bags of frozen lima beans at Whole Foods. I like them with onion and red pepper baked in the oven.
