Comments (1)Darren, There's plenty that you hadn't describe in your treatment of your young seedlings. So I hope this link helps. http://www.hort.purdue.edu/newcrop/morton/mangosteen.html#Propagation Also my advise is to not use any forms of fertilizers on young seedlings, even if the fertilizer is organic. Humidity is good, but don't forget to ensure there's good air circulation too. Good luck Ianna...See MoreMangosteen Seeds from Malaysia
Comments (3)What will probably happen is that they will germinate along the way. The problem is that if they then dry out, they'll be dead. Just make sure you get them as soon as possible without any shipping delays. The ones I get from Hawaii are almost all germinated by the time they arrive....See MoreMangosteen seeds on ebay
Comments (55)My Experience with ordering mangosteen seeds from ebay: note: I live in the Dominican Republic, but use a mail forwarding service in Fla. they send packages next day. I knew that mangosteen seeds have a very short viability period, only a few days if not stored quickly in moist media. 1st attempt, I ordered from an e-bay vendor from Malaysia, weeks went by I did not receive anything, I contacted vendor, they told me that sometimes seeds get confiscated in US customs. they sent me another package for free. these I received in about 3 weeks, they were packed well in moist peat. I planted asap, but nothing sprouted left them for about 3 months and gave up on them. I came to the conclusion that they lost viability, 3 weeks in transit and who knows how old they were before they sent them. I was also wondering if maybe customs irradiates or x-rays packages from some countries? Anyway I wanted mangosteen , so I tried again. from another source. I received the seeds in about 2 weeks or so. but like before, nothing ever sprouted. I wish i could get my hands on some fresh seeds, from a US source. or a plant, but a live plant is difficult to import, seeds is no problem here....See MoreParker Turtle
