Are drawers possible in 30" vanity with undermount sink?
Comments (9)All are functional. The top one is notched in the back. The middle drawer might be notched too--I think there's about 9" from the bottom of a vanity to the plumbing. I love the look of all drawers. I'd want that storage for the master bath. Someone here a few years ago had dividers in the notched drawer that separated it into thirds--two "wings" in the back, with the front a long narrow space for small items....See Morecustom vanity - sink too big? or ok?
Comments (2)I think it will probably look fine, but will it be impractical? I would want more than 3.5" of counter space on each side of the sink (assuming you are centering it)....See MoreReplacing 42" bath vanity in 42" niche with 40.5" IKEA sink-- problem?
Comments (5)Thanks much! This is exactly the advice I was looking for. Sounds like I could do the smaller size vanity and sink. This would give me 5" on either side. Or, if I don't go the IKEA route, does anyone know places that have truly affordable standard, wall-to-wall type vanities and sinks. I want a more contemporary look. Since we're fine with IKEA, we're obviously fine with RTA....See MoreRESALE: Open shelf vanity or floating sink for bathroom?
Comments (8)Thanks for everyone's insights here. I'm digging the idea of a console sink with enough space on the edge to hold things and a shelf underneath. I hope I can find one that allows for a floor drain pipe. Is it unusual to have a drain pipe go into the floor instead of into the wall? I'm hoping with a new and bigger mirror and some bright white towels on the towel racks that it will brighten up the deep grey vibe in here. I would like to not have to paint. I think it looks darker in pics than in real life, but pics have to look great when listing too. We have another bathroom on the third floor that is even smaller than this one and is considered the "master" bath. It has a Kohler Memories pedestal sink with TONS of crazing . Perhaps I should get a new smaller sized console for up there too so it has a fresher look. The grey walls in that bathroom are a much lighter, fresher gray....See MoreLM Interior Design, LLC
