Savannah, our angel
Comments (26)You gave your girl a wonderful last day, and you gave yourself a gift, too: You stopped your busy routine and put yourself "in the moment" to just BE with her. Those were the moments I really loved when I had my puppy girl. Just being together on a walk, or lounging next to each other. Your photos are terrific, and one day soon you will be able to frame them (not that you'll ever be able to hold back the tears when you look at them, but that's just what great pets do to us, isn't it...). My deepest sympathies to your whole family. You had a beautiful girl there....See MoreSavannah
Comments (48)In Houston my Savannah wants to be tall and narrow, 7 or 8 feet after four years, maybe two feet wide; the form is a natural pillar. I planned for this and she is at the back of the bed against the house with a trellis for support. (The plant is sturdy and the trellis not really needed except in high winds). She does well in high heat and humidity and blooms regularly in full all day sun all summer; gets no direct sun in winter but does not seem to mind. The flower is always bright, despite the color variability; can be anything from peachy pink to a fairly deep coral pink with a yellow center, but does not fade to white (I get frustrated with the number of flowers billed as yellow, peach or orange that in summer fade instantly to white or worse, a dull brown.) Savannah never goes white, and also sheds the spent bloom. Good foliage and usually blooms all over, not just at the very top. ARE bills her as "one of the best all round shrubs."...See MoreWhich color of white paint goes best with brass fixtures in small bath
Comments (3)Thank you for your response, and that is a great idea. The reglazer said he would match whichever shade of white I wanted. So...I'm back to my original problem! And, yes - I think it will be significantly less expensive to reglaze rather than rip out and replace tile and shower door, so, that's what I'm working with....See MoreAn all Kordes Bouquet
Comments (8)Thank you! Strawchicago, Of the ones pictured probably Poseidon, Liebeszauber and Quicksilver are the longest lasting. Kristine, my Liebeszauber bushes bloom all season, almost never never without roses. Probably about 5 feet, but occasionally it puts out a really tall cane, like eight feet....See MoreSara-Ann Z6B OK
