The Good, the Bad and the Ugly...all Organic

User

Yesterday I thought I would take a look at a local public rose garden to see what was blooming and what everything looked like in July, the middle of our dry season. Mainly I focused on the leaves and whether they were disease resistant. A lot of the roses were resting after their Spring flush so I wasn't concerned about that. I realize I baby my roses. Food, water, deadheading. I saw two employees there deadheading yesterday.

So often here we show our perfect blossoms but neglect to show the whole bush. I wanted to see in person what a real, organic garden looked like in my neighborhood.

Again, some of the blooms were finished so it is just valid for yesterday.

We suffer from black spot and powdery mildew and spider mites etc..

The sign just says about it being a "Natural" garden.

First Light

Opening Night okay leaves

Now this is one I really want to research. Guy de Maupassant

Look at these leaves!

And a pretty blossom

Another one I want to research is Betty White. Her leaves looked pretty good and she was fragrant.

Memorial Day looked ok. Really needed to be deadheaded but the leaves weren't bad.

The Fairy

Cherry Parfait leaves look okay.
