Happy Independence Day!
Comments (13)Jkayd - You are right. Scarecrow is like its own firework. Chris and Mantis - Cool Hand Luke is nowhere near its height of 40 inches here. I would say the scapes are 27-28 inches here for both last year and this year. But most everything is shorter than it should be this year. It's also missing that great lateral branching it had last year. Debra This post was edited by shive on Sat, Jul 5, 14 at 9:22...See MoreHappy Independence Day
Comments (3)Sharon, I do remember the fireworks accident. I don't think I knew the dad died in a car accident. I'll keep them in my thoughts today, and will be hoping that time is helping to ease their grief. Thanks for reminding me that on a day that we are celebrating and going about "life as usual", someone else is having a hard time, struggling with grief and pain. Comments (5)Same to you Grandma Bonnie. Hope you have lots of good sales and a fun time too. ;o) I'm with you Toomuch, too old to want to deal with the crowds at the public events. Son and his family are off camping this weekend, so don't even plan on allot of cooking. Big ban on fireworks here in our city--$1000.00 fine! Luvs...See MoreHappy Independence Day!!
Comments (2)Hi Anj, I just stayed at home for the Fourth. My hubby plays golf and I managed to get about 4 sets of the spoons completed. We need rain desperately. My water bill is going to be high this month - we either get too much or not enough. My GD came over today. And, of course, the first thing they wanted to do was paint. The little one who is three got paint on the desk (not a problem because sometimes I use the desk top to double load a brush - it wipes off with alcohol) but I made an area for her because she likes painting all over the place. I am attaching a pic of her and her sister painting their projects. Notice how she uses one finger to hold the wood piece in place. Can't wait to see what you have been doing. OOps, can't post pic here, will do on the other side....See Morehoosier_nan (IN z5b/6a)
