Full StoryI repotted my Moro today. All that talk about wrong soil mix made me feel a bit uneasy and thought better check it out. It was nothing to worry about but I decided to add a plant insert to the pot so to lighten the pot and at the same time minimize the risk for root rot a bit more.
more healthy roots
planter insert
It is about 4" to 6" from the bottom of the pot
just need to fill in the edges and we have a happy tree for the next two years to come :)I will stick with the mix I used which is peat, perlite and vermiculite (already mixed from the garden center) and pine bark mulch for acidity. Yup according to some the death sentence for the trees. But I think my tree did really good on this mix being in there since two years and I'm sure I could have gotten another year out of it.
