Sometimes the roses are just not in very good shape when you get them. I picked up one 2 years ago. After a while I noticed it wasn't doing very well. When I finally took the time too check it I found the problem on mine. It was chip budded thats what I think it is called. Anyway up by the budded spots were lots go little galls the rose was doomed. At least I was able to take it back.

It is hard to say what is wrong but it could be that the roots have not have not stretched out yet. Sometimes the roots are all bound up in the pot when you buy them. Did you loosen up the roots before planting. If not the roots are not able to grow out of the pot shape and has a difficult time taking up water.

Maybe someone will have another idea for you.

Maybe just let it settle in for awhile. Keep soil moist in high heat but do not overwater... I'd hold off on using fertilizer or spraying anything on leaves as the plant probably is under some type of stress...like maybe transplant shock or something...

Thank you guys! After three weeks applying iron tone, even though I still see some dead branches, most of the leaves turning green and my rose start to flower again. I think it might be just a weak plant to begin with, I will keep monitoring it for sure.
