Efflorescence on new clay brick patio

Our new clay brick patio went in two weeks ago. There's an ugly discolored area right in the middle. The landscaper said it was efflorescence and that it would go away--eventually. He had one of his guys scrub the area with SRW EF Efflorescence cleaner, but it did nothing.

I don't know why the efflorescence is on just some bricks and not others. I called the brick manufacturer (Pine Hall) but they were no help. Someone else told me it was the grout's salts, not the brick salt, but if that were true I don't know why the whole patio doesn't show the efflorescence.

I'm concerned about this. Not only is it ugly--hard to take when you've just put in a new patio!--but I can't help but have doubts it is just going to "go away." When is "eventually"? Since it does not appear to budge when scrubbed, is there something else to try? Thanks! I have attached a photo.
