I just watched Babette's Feast last night, due to the recommendations on this forum. Wow. It's way more than a food movie. It's very deep. It'll have me thinking about it for a long time. I just read some of the history that surrounded it, which explained much about what was going on. Thanks for the recommendation, (even if I was a little slow to act on it.) Sally

I loved Hidden Figures (saw it last weekend). Awesome movie. I'd consider A Dog's Purpose, the trailer looks great. Even though I am a cat person. I know nothing about The Comedian. No desire to see LaLa - I don't like movies about show biz, but that may stem from a school roommate years ago who played the soundtrack for "Funny -- ha ha - Girl" about 50 times a day, and I was too much a milquetoast to break the dang thing. To this day: if the topic is show biz... I'm so outta there you won't ever even see the dust trail!

Aww, I was going to say Big Night! (I went to high school with the fellow who composed the non-Tony-Bennett original music: when they are eating, the clatter of cutlery is actually a composition!) Not about food and wine, but when my friend and I watched I'll See You In My Dreams with the lovely Blythe Danner and lovelier Sam Elliott, we got tipsy just watching the women drink wine. Frequently. We thought it would be a good movie to see at home and drink along with Blythe. Theres an Italian movie where they eat a meal out in the garden, long table, I can't remember e name but I just really want to linger out in the garden over lunch. My Cousin something-or-other?
